The series publishes short research-informed yet accessible introductions to key interdisciplinary topics impacting education research and practice.
The BERA Guides series publishes short research-informed yet accessible introductions to key interdisciplinary topics impacting education research and practice.
Books in the series offer a summary of the research on the topic charting how the scholarly thought and practice on the issue has evolved over time and offer key takeaways and suggestions for research and practice. With books in the series viewed as research and practice `primers´ on each topic the series is for use by a broad academic audience including early career and established researchers postgraduate students as well as practitioners where appropriate.
International in scope although some topics will undoubtedly differ depending on national or regional context the books draw on international literature to provide a true synthesis of the scholarly literature. In line with BERA´s and Emerald´s equality and diversity policies the series seeks and supports a diverse range of authors to publish in the series - diverse in terms of gender ethnicity career stage institution and other attributes.
Written in shortform (between 35 000 and 50 000 words in length including references) and in an accessible and readable style - suitable for postgraduate students (including MA students) and for scholars in disciplines outside of education research books in the series will address key interdisciplinary topics impacting education research and practice. Efforts will be made to keep up with emerging trends concerns and discussions within the education research and practice communities.
